"Potato holiday"

Earlier, Norwegian school kids used to have an autumn holiday, to help harvesting potatoes. Nowadays, it's just another holiday, at a time when the mountan often shows its most beautiful colours.

So there was hiking, reading and knitting.

Of course my knitting matches both the autumn colours and the book I'm reading..

My Vine yoke cardigan is also coming along nicely. The yarn is the super soft Malabrigo Baby Merino - it will be this winter's favourite, if I finish it.

Btw, there is still time to enter a comment for the giveaway on my last post. You can win a copy of the "1000 fabulous knit hats", with 10 hat patterns and lots af inspiring hat photos.
So far, there are nine comments, so winning chances are not bad...

Nydelig farge på vottene. Je strikker mye votter selv og blir aldri lei de mange fine mønstrene som finnes. Murakami er en stor favoritt, je har ni bøker av han som alle er lest. Je kommer nok til å lese de igjen! Kos deg :)

Potato holiday? I love it. Is it always on the same day? I have lots of potatoes to dig up in my garden, perhaps I'll give myself a holiday.
