Free hat pattern! (Not just today and not just Chelsea - the football hat patterns are all free all the time)

I like wearing tunics, here my newest one: It's a cotton tunic from Fretex, decorated to become a FCBarcelona tunic by me.
The Barcelona t-shirt could have been worn by the family's youngest, but he's a Real Madrid fan, so he won't wear it ...

Remember my football hat for the local football club (Lillehammer fotballklubb)? Just after I finished that, they changed their logo... So I had to make a new pattern - now available both as a headband and a hat, for adult and child.
The title of this post was of course just to draw your attention!
Which of the logos do you prefer?? The new one is supposed to be more modern.

Spring is here and the Norwegian football season has started (earlier than usual, btw, the football league, I mean, not the spring...) Anyway, I have been inspired to make a couple of football related items again, one hat and one headband.
The Chelsea hat has been awaited by a young boy for a while, the MFK head band was a surprise gift.

When it comes to knitting, I think I'll always remember 2009 as the year of the football hats. This has so far raised 16 000 NKr for football fields. (We need one million, but luckily, there are other ways of getting money too..)
But there have been other projects also, most of them you can see in my Flickr set, FO 2009. 
I have tried some new techniques in 2009. The most useful thing I learnt, was spit splicing (see under tutorials in the left sidebar, if you wonder what and how). I've also understood what "wrap and turn" is all about, didn't really know about short rows before.
I also had the great pleasure to teach a little girl to knit. I recently learned from her family's Christmas letter, the pot holder is now finished.
When I finsished this summer's football hats, I promised myself I would not make another hat till after Christmas. But I haven't been able to keep that promise. At the end of the football season (which in Norway is in October..), the ten year old's football trainers were to receive a gift. One ManU fan and another Liverpool. I knitted, the other parents paid money to the football field project and the trainers were happy.
One of the mothers told me she had been an Aston Villa fan since childhood, because she liked the sound of the team's name. And now they even have a Norwegian player, John Carew. So, a hat for Cathinka:

I used to knit during classes, at school and in university. Nowadays I sometimes knit at conferences and seminars. This is the result of two days of seminar and a train trip:
It's a child version of my Scrap Gnomy , or Pointy Striped Color as Annie Modesitt called it in her book project 1000 faboulous hats. I love using left over yarn, and putting together colours. I'm quite happy with how they're turning out so far. They're going to be Christmas presents for two little sisters, I think.
I started the blue one when the pink reached the point where I wanted to change to double pointed needles. There is too much jingling with dpn's, I don't want to annoy people. And I don't want everybody's look on me when a needle falls to the floor...

Today I reached ten thousand Norwegian kroner for football fields! Thanks to everyone who has bought a hat or a pattern! But the new football ground is not yet here, so patterns are still for sale (see right sidebar), and I might even make another hat or two.
