Sweater "skinnvotten"

This sweater is based on a Ukranian folktale about a lost mitten, in Norwegian called "Skinnvotten", beautifully translated by Alf Prøysen.

Pattern: Paper Dolls
Needle: 2,5 mm for body, 3,0 mm for yoke (stranded pattern)
Yarn:
Red: Black Cat Fibres Sock yarn merino
Grey and green: ninukka sock yarn (etsy)
Blue: Wollmeise Sockenwolle 80/20

Modifications:
Worked top down (but because I didn't like the first ribbing I made, I unraveled the neck ribbing, picked up stitches and worked this part again from yoke and up)
Ribbing: k 1 twisted, p 1 (in stead of corrugated ribbing).
Long sleeves.
And differnt yoke pattern.

The yoke pattern is charted by me. Some of the animals are found from other patterns:

Wolf: Modified (made smaller) from this hat pattern by Mary Lou Egan

Rabbit/hare: Modified from this chart on this blog (Norwegian).

Frog: Modified (made smaller) from this hat pattern (Finnish blog).

I realised after finishing the yoke, that the sequence of the animals was wrong, the wild boar should have come after the wolf, not before... but the soon five years old receiver says it doesn't matter (even though he knows the tale by heart). And then I read the English version of the tale, and there the wild boar comes after the bear, so now I don't mind the mistake either.

The sweater turned out beautifully. Although I am a little afraid of the fearsome creature wearing it!dh

Morsomt!)
